DESIGN PROCESS

From first ideas to final artwork, developed in close collaboration.

Understanding the Space & the Client

Every project begins with listening.

We start by understanding the space — its architecture, light, and atmosphere — alongside the client’s vision, references, and priorities. This shared foundation guides all design decisions that follow.

Drawing & Design Development

Ideas are translated into hand drawings and working designs.

Multiple directions may be explored, with sketches and colour studies shared for feedback and refinement. The artwork evolves through close collaboration at every stage.

Inspiration, Direction & Creative Dialogue

From the initial brief, inspiration and direction are explored together.

References may include gardens, textiles, architecture, or more abstract qualities such as rhythm and mood. Colour, line, and scale are discussed early, allowing the design language to emerge through conversation.

Final Artwork & Approval

The chosen design is refined into final artwork.

Scale, colour, and composition are carefully resolved before approval, ensuring a smooth transition into the print stage and complete confidence in the final result.
